About the Role
Joining our Physical & Sensory Impairments and Personalisation Commissioning team in Adult Social Care, you'll be focused on supporting the Choice and Control programme to put personalisation at the heart of all we do.
Specifically, you will work to build the market of Community Micro-Enterprises across North East Essex. Community Micro-Enterprises are small, niche and local organisations that provide a wide range of support to people in their community. This will create more choice for people who buy their own care and support through a direct payment or a personal health budget.
Working closely with the Commissioning Manager, this role is focused on providing support, insight and capacity to Heads of Strategic Commissioning and Policy within Adults and Children and Families, to enable the collaborative delivery of outcomes for citizens, using relevant and specific subject matter expertise.
With a range of experience across programme delivery, stakeholder management and business processes, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of commissioning activity, working collaboratively across the wider Council with stakeholders and external partners to deliver a more flexible and agile approach to delivering outcomes.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Supporting managers to ensure that specific priorities are planned with an ability to deliver, based on capacity and capability to ensure outcomes and policies meet agreed service levels.
- Supporting specific commissioning programmes and activities that drive further continuous improvement to ensure high performing, sustainable and cost-effective services or place shaping activities.
- Collaboratively co-design solutions, drawing on good data and insight, expertise methods and approaches.
- Building networks across north east Essex to support the development of community Micro-Enterprises and ensure they receive the right support.
About You
To apply, you'll need to have knowledge and experience of the commissioning cycle, together with experience in using a project methodology approach. You will need to be able to evidence experience of engaging local communities and citizens, incorporating such insights and intelligence into plans. Your approach must also be innovative, alongside a track record of delivery within timescales.
With significant experience across the social care or business support sectors you will bring proven ability to help people bring their business or community ideas to life. This will be based on best practice, and your experience in working effectively with a range of stakeholders and partner agencies at all levels.
Whatever you want to achieve in your social care career, you can do it here.
