About the Role

This is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Countywide team for Local Linked Support.

This is a community-based role covering Colchester and Braintree. A can-do attitude is a must, you will be passionate about Occupational Therapy and person-centred work, supporting adults to maximise their independence and achieve person centred outcomes.

This is a unique role working with Adults who have Learning Disabilities & Autism. This opportunity will allow you to heavily focus and develop new knowledge and skills in this area.

You'll spend the majority of your time looking at ways to support the adult's participation and inclusion in their local community, to help them achieve a meaningful life and prevent, reduce or delay their need for social care support.

In addition, you'll focus on occupation, activity, choice and control, and use a strengths based approach, along with community assets, to achieve the person's goals and aspirations.

You will become a partner of the local community in which our residents live, alongside your Occupational Therapy work connecting Adults to opportunities in the community and universal services.

You'll be working in a Multi-disciplinary team but under the direct support and supervision of an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist, with access to learning and development opportunities via ESCA to support your practice development.

We're always looking for new ways to deliver even better services, Occupational Therapists play an integral role in our preventative approach to Social Care. Bring your positive, proactive attitude, and we'll empower you to make the most of your experience as an Occupational Therapist within Essex County Council (ECC) Adult Social Care services.

To apply, you'll need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent qualification, with current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
