About Us:

Develop your pensions experience with a customer-focused team.

At Kensington and Chelsea we understand the opportunity as well as the necessity for positive innovation and change. On 1 April we ended the outsourced administration of our Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and brought it back into the borough to be managed by our own in-house team. Detailed planning ensured a smooth transfer and we are now confident of offering an excellent experience to our members. The RBKC fund has over 10,400 current, deferred and pensioner members and its assets exceed £800 million.

The Role:

Grow your experience in this brand new role at the heart of an evolving team.  Reporting to the Pensions Benefits Team Leader, you’ll ensure truly customer-focused delivery of the processing, calculation and payment of LGPS benefits, as well as the delivery of a LGPS helpdesk. Over time, you’ll develop a sound knowledge of the scheme and will take on increasingly complex casework. At every stage, your input and ideas for improving the service will be welcome.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

Most likely with a background in pensions, payroll or human resources, you’ll have a good understanding of pensions benefits regulations and calculations. Strong analytical and research skills are essential, as is basic ability in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Well organised, you’ll demonstrate attention to detail and will be confident dealing with a range of enquiries on the phone and face to face. You must also be ready to work as part of a team.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online and specify on your application how you meet the skills, knowledge and qualities specified in the job description and person specification.
