Full time

At Kensington and Chelsea, we’re working to ensure our borough and its people emerge stronger from these uniquely challenging times. Embedding lessons learnt as well as adapting to and recovering from the pandemic will be top priorities. We’ll also ensure the Council achieves its ambitions on equality, diversity and inclusion.

In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. We are committed to ensuring our communities can access the support they need when they need it.

The Role:

Your focus will be on streamlining and improving many of our interactions with residents, businesses, visitors and business partners. You’ll start by investigating, understanding and analysing both the customers’ and business needs across the Council. You’ll work collaboratively with services and service users to develop new customer journeys by shaping our organisation around them.

The projects you work on will be varied, some will include putting services online and others will look into improving processes to better meet the needs of our users. Our customers will be at the centre of all we do to improve. A key challenge will be bringing services and departments together to deliver joined-up solutions. It’s a role that will test your business analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. In return, it will allow you to make your mark in transforming the way we deliver services.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

Inquisitive, perceptive, and rigorous, you’ll also be a ‘people person’: a good listener, with the ability to relate hard and soft data to real lives. In line with the person specification, you’ll have a background in business analysis and experience of using at least one recognised problem solving or process improvement method such as Systems Thinking or Six Sigma. You’ll be used to the challenges of operating within a complex organisation with many stakeholders and will be able to apply both project and programme methodologies to deliver change. Capable of building rapport and fostering productive working relationships, you’ll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence others.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply by explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description in the application question. CV’s alone will not be accepted.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applicants.
