The Post

We are looking for an Information Systems manager with significant experience of working with information systems at a high level in either an FE, Adult Learning or Local Authority setting with a track record in raising standards and delivering an outstanding service.

You will have extensive knowledge of current funding methodologies and examination processes in adult learning with the ability to think strategically and translate strategic objectives into operational ones.

You will also have experience of leading continuous quality improvement ensuring that quality standards and requirements of Ofsted and the Greater London Authority (GLA) are met.  A key aim for the service will be to move towards being judged as an Outstanding provider of adult learning by Ofsted.

The post holder will represent Brent Start at MIS / IT service user groups and play a key part in the redevelopment of the main site of Brent Start at Morland Gardens 

The Person

We are seeking an individual who: 

  • has demonstrable, in-depth knowledge and understanding of information systems, funding methodologies and examinations across the FE/Adult Education sector
  • has strong leadership and management skills
  • is resilient and creative
  • is empathetic towards the needs of adult learners
  • is educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of working in the FE/Adult Education sector.
