This is a full time fixed term role for 6-9 months

Job Purpose

Essex County Council (ECC) is one of the largest and most dynamic local authorities in the UK and is undergoing significant transformational change to further enhance customer focus, service and delivery. As part of this, the Business Support team will work in specialised Business Centres to promote specialised knowledge and improved service and efficiencies.

Working as part of a business support team to deliver administrative and support activities, proactively managing workload, taking initiative and using personal judgement to resolve internal and external customer issues. A strong working knowledge of the activities provided within a business centre and the processes required is essential in order to provide coaching and mentoring support to Business Support Assistants.

* Solid written and verbal communication

* Mature and compassionate nature showing sensitivity to work within Children's Social Care
* Ability to work well under pressure and resilient
* Excellent prioritision and time management skills of self
* MS Office, including MS Outlook and MS Teams
* Arranging and minuting meetings
* Supporting the recruitment and induction process
* Confident diary management
* Telephony skills
* Customer service skills

As part of employment with Essex County Council should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
