We are looking for an enthusiastic and effective individual with previous experience of highways maintenance, policy and asset management to join us as a Policy and Strategic Asset Manager.

An opportunity has arisen to join Lincolnshire County Council within the Place Directorate as an important part of the Client and Contract Services Team, contributing to highways policy and strategy.

To undertake this role you will ideally be an Incorporated Engineer OR have significant and relevant workplace experience with a differing appropriate qualification.

Working as part of the Asset Management Commissioning team, you will be expected to propose and develop strategic highways maintenance and other policies, strategies and plans as well as contribute to the commissioning of various highways services. You would also be expected to assist in the development and management of contracts and provide the service link to national policy groups.

Working within the political and business environment of the Council, you will need to make appropriate decisions based on legislation, national guidance, political pressures commissioning best practice and technical requirements. You will need to think creatively and work collaboratively, seeking opportunities to improve individual and team performance and service delivery in line with the Council's objectives.

With excellent communication skills, you will also demonstrate effective behaviours in the way you work with your colleagues, clients and stakeholders.

Policy – Highways – Commissioning – Strategic – Asset Management
