About the role

The Operations Assistant will support the delivery of the Bradwell Outdoors programme of activities, contributing to the operational function at the Centre and ensuring that customer requirements are determined and allocated correctly through the Bookings software platform and updated as required.

You will provide exceptional levels of customer service, actively promoting, processing, and securing local sales to increase income generation to meet assigned targets, using your specialist knowledge to provide information, advice and guidance to customers and staff on specific bookings as required, whilst ensuring consistent adherence to both designed outcomes and agreed service levels

You will support in the administration and processing of payments received, in person or over the telephone, and the collation of all monies to be banked according to the necessary processes.

This role requires flexibility to provide cross service cover when fluctuating workloads or staff absences require this and to undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with grade to support the business, including maintaining business continuity.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you will ideally have experience of working within a learning environment, delivering excellent customer service. You will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail with the ability to record, report and maintain data effectively and accurately, and work well within a team.

Above all, you will have the ability to develop skills and knowledge within your role.

As part of employment with Essex County Council should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
