Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our in-house pension administration team for a Senior Pensions Officer, looking to progress further in a supervisory role. Reporting to the Deputy Pensions Manager you will have management line responsibility for up to 5 Pensions Officers and will contribute to the efficient and effective preparation and processing of a comprehensive pensions administration and pensions payroll service.

Who we are looking for:

We are keen to hear from experienced pension professionals with a can do attitude who are highly motivated and committed to providing an excellent and proactive service in line with statutory and operational deadlines.

It is essential that you have extensive work experience in defined benefit pension administration and possess good knowledge and understanding of Pension & HMRC Legislation. You will have calculated a full range of final salary pension benefits including retirements, transfers and deaths benefits, for a wide variety of scheme members. You will understand AVCs and the part they play in the pension environment. Working knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme, NHS, and teacher's pension schemes is desirable but not essential.

You will have excellent communication skills and effective time management skills, being able to work under pressure with minimum supervision. You will also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and have a high level of numeracy focussed on accuracy and attention to detail. It is essential that you can demonstrate an understanding of data protection and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
