Do you have skills and experience in equalities, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and would like to make a real and lasting difference to our workforce and Sheffield’s diverse communities?
We have two fantastic job opportunities for senior equalities, diversity, and inclusion officers. One role specialises in HR and workforce and the second specialises in equalities and engagement with people across the city.
The Council is to redouble its efforts for positive actions to create the right environment to welcome, engage, support and retain diverse employees and is also committed to new investment to progress equalities and engagement with under-represented communities in our city, so that they can be involved and influence decisions that affect them.
As the senior equalities officer, you will be creative and innovative, provide expert, professional knowledge for EDI and be able to develop and champion our policies and best practice. As the engagement specialist, you will work with partners across the city using tools to engage and strengthen our relationships with residents and a wide range of communities, including voluntary and faith groups.
For both roles, you will also be skilled at data collection, analysis, evaluation, equality impact assessments and project management using agile and traditional project management techniques.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
