You will be responsible for reshaping the service to deliver the needs and expectation of Senior Managers in Housing Management Services, we will rely on you to instil confidence in our external contractors.

The Post

We are looking for a dynamic individual experienced in managing a Housing Support Services who are integral for all teams within Housing Management.

As a key manager in our Housing & Neighbourhoods service, you’ll help build a high performing, innovative, support services team that will continuously deliver quality services.

You will lead a newly merged team of Housing Support and Rent Accounting Officers to effectively co-ordinate complaints, process invoices, deal with all aspect of rent setting and offer an administration support service across all teams.

As the Housing Support and Complaints Team Leader you must have knowledge of the regulations and legislations governing rent and be confident at implementing rent settings and standards.

You will know how to build genuine relationships with a range of stakeholders and embody what is means to work collegiately and collaboratively.

You will encourage your direct reports to have a strong sense of team and collectively offer a first class support service across the Housing Management Service.

The Person

We want a strong leader that instils confidence in senior managers, partners and members of the public.

You should be able to demonstrate your expertise in leasehold and home ownership services.

Your working style should be a balance of cutting through unnecessary red tape and protecting the interests of the Council and Leaseholders.

You must be ahead of the curve, ambitious in your want to transform this service and have the emotional intelligence to take people with you on that journey.
