The Corporate Governance Team is looking for someone who can deliver at pace and is a proven “self starter” to support and facilitate the provision of a successful Corporate Governance service in accordance with relevant legislation and council policies and procedures e.g.  Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulation, General Data Protection Regulation / Data Protection Act 2018.

This will include conducting timely and comprehensive investigations and the provision of advice, support and guidance on our duties and responsibilities under the relevant guidance and legislation.

You will also support the further development of the design and delivery of a responsive programme of improvements to the policies and procedures that are within the remit of the Corporate Governance Team.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express him/herself spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.
