Implementing Liberty Protection Safeguards

The Post

We have embarked upon a journey of significant transformation within Adult Social Care which consists of a number of projects that are critical to our ambition to support individuals and communities to have independent and fulfilling lives, while ensuring that our services are effective and financially sustainable. We are specifically seeking a Programme manager to drive the delivery and implementation of the Liberty of Protection Safeguards, which replaces the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, ensuring that it delivers the required outcomes on time and to budget.

The Person 

We are looking for someone who has:

• The ability and proven track record in delivery of social care legislatie requirements
• Strong organisational and analytical skills and will ensure high quality governance and reporting arrangements are in place
• Excellent communication skills, experience working with a broad range of stakeholders and who is not afraid to challenge the status quo
• “Hands on” programme management experience and can proactively develop briefs, plans and business cases

Experience and/or knowledge of Local Authority service delivery and the social care sector would be desirable. We are not looking for a subject matter expert or service manager – we want to hear from professional programme managers who relish a challenge and are interested in the transformation of Adult Social Care.
