You would be joining our Bi-Borough Special Educational Needs (SEN) Service, you will complete Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments within the statutory timescales but could also be part of the review process of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for children and young people. As well as delivering comprehensive casework management and administrative support, you’ll manage crucial relationships with diverse agencies and support services, including Children’s Social Care and Health. At every step, you’ll focus on listening to children, young people and their families and ensuring we continue to offer a holistic, person-centred service. Initially, you should expect to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of SEN and relevant legislation, who can listen and respond effectively to queries and concerns raised by families, schools and professionals. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a local authority or health or other related setting. This is a fast-paced environment with a focus on children and young people with SEND, as well as their parents and carers, school staff and other professionals. You will work with all of them, and you will need the very best communication, case management skills and high personal resilience to do so.
