And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Deputy Elections Manager you will supervise all aspects of electoral registration and elections within the Electoral Services Department.
You will support and deputise for the Elections Manager in planning for elections, annual canvass and electoral meetings during the year. You will also have specific responsibility for the running of the Annual canvass and at election time the management of Postal vote issuing and receipt.

You will have experience of managing staff or a team, often in a high-pressured environment meeting strict deadlines.
The ideal candidate should also have experience dealing with major projects and large databases in a team environment as well as a general understanding of democracy, citizenship and the democratic process in the UK.
A flexible approach to work and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a MUST as you will deal with staff and public. Good working knowledge of IT applications including Word and Excel and use of bespoke IT applications is also required.
