As Head of Asset Management, you’ll be responsible for managing the Council’s multi-million pound property portfolio and take the lead on the Council’s property development plans, whether acquisitions, lettings, disposals or improvement projects.

You’ll be responsible for complex and difficult judgments over future use of council property as well as contributing to the wider regeneration and development team, maximizing the use of the Council’s property portfolio.

Acting as the Council’s expert on asset management, property investments and improvement proposals, you will have extensive technical expertise backed by comprehensive knowledge of property leases. With proven experience of managing high profile projects, you will work closely with Senior Officers to identify and develop commercial property schemes at the new business parks at Daedalus, as well as playing an active role in the delivery of the Council’s Vision for Fareham Town Centre.

Using your proven project management background, you will be able to negotiate and influence at all levels. To achieve our corporate objectives, you need to be able to balance your commercial acumen together with a commitment to achieving the Council’s wider economic development objectives along with the ability to manage significant budgets.

Being able to recognise and deliver what matters to the organisation is really important along with a strong sense of political awareness and sensitivity.

Joining the team here at Fareham Borough Council, you’ll be part of one of the most forward thinking councils in the South East. We’re driven by people who can bring fresh ideas, new thinking and the ambition to make a positive impact on the future of this dynamic Borough. If that sounds like you, we can offer a great employment package as well as the ability to work flexibly and remotely when required plus the opportunity to play your part in shaping the future of the Borough.
