About the Role

We currently have an Occupational Therapist role within our Local Linked Support Team.

This is a community-based role working with Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism, alongside their carers. The role covers the Colchester and Braintree area.

A can-do attitude is a must, you will be passionate about Occupational Therapy and person-centred work.

The Local Linked Support team is heavily involved with early intervention and prevention, you will be part of a team building resilience in communities and promoting independence through inclusion and drawing on the individual's strengths.

You will become a partner of the local community in which our residents live, alongside your Occupational Therapy work connecting Adults to opportunities in the community and universal services.

Openness to innovation is integral to this work, you will need to think outside the box and identify new ways of working and supporting others. You will be working collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory organisations, excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

About You

To apply, you'll need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification, with current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. With experience of working in a Social Care or Health setting ideally working to support vulnerable adults. This should include the ability to work with a caseload underpinned by evidence-based practice.

This role involves travelling around Essex. A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means - is essential.
