The Post

Shared Technology Services are looking for an Enterprise Architect to develop and implement overarching architectural principles to contribute to the long-term strategy and effectiveness of the Service.

The Enterprise Architect will support the Head of Strategy & Technology to strive towards continuing improvement and development throughout the service, with a focus on efficiency, to secure our success.

We will need you to be a leader by setting quality and professional standards to help support all organisations partnered with STS. You should take a holistic approach to supporting their IT systems and infrastructure through the use of identification, implementation, design and updating as necessary.

You will be tasked with the development and management of the Technical 5-year roadmap, the Technical Design Authority and Change Management process, in conjunction with partner architecture resources. The role will be ‘hands-on’ and will require you to assist with TA and SA needs alongside your EA responsibilities.

The successful candidate will look to add value through the establishment and enforcement of security policies across the estate.

This role includes line management responsibilities for 1 x Change and Problem Manager and 1 x Technical Architect

The Person

For this role you will need to be ITIL-accredited and have a good understanding of the Change Management processes involved in ITIL in practice, as well as a wide knowledge of IT Security and policies.

We would look to see you have Continued Professional Development, knowledge of project management processes and strong diagnosis skills. The successful candidate will be flexible, with an understanding of how to prioritise effectively and have clear communication that is accessible to multiple stakeholders.

You should have the ability to manage people, performance and budgets, with experience of line and/or team management. You should also have experience of working with and managing external vendors.
