An interesting opportunity has arisen for you to join the housing team as a Housing Support Officer.  This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference and help people, by providing information and support on housing and accommodation matters.

You’ll be joining  our small, enthusiastic team who are all passionate about improving the lives of others.  You will be working with colleagues in the Private Housing Sector team to support clients who are resident at Tara Park.

This is a challenging role, but hugely satisfying to support people through positive change.
You will help to provide a responsive, effective and confidential  support service for the clients.

The postholder will be responsible for working alongside the Housing Officer to provide a good quality support service to residents at Tara Park which is a Gypsy and Traveller site based in Malton. There will be a need to provide tailored support to the residents to ensure they have access to generic and specialist support as needed.

You will be responsible for monitoring their progress and seeing the difference you can make through provision of relevant support.

You will liaise with external agencies to assist clients to access employment and training opportunities, health providers for provision of health care and early help, education and family support for families.

Based at Ryedale House and the office at Tara Park, Malton.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working within a support role in housing or a similar  sector.  We are seeking someone who has experience of working successfully with a team to achieve outcomes and the ability to communicate effectively.
