We are looking for a Heating Engineer to help us provide excellent quality heating services to our residents. You will be based in Wandsworth which is in the heart of London reporting to the Senior Heating Engineer and working as part of a small professional team. You will manage and monitor consultants and contractors to ensure their prompt attendance to breakdowns and ensuring effective repair works are completed on time. You will ensure maintenance visits and statutory gas servicing inspections are carried out. You will help provide heating services for the Council’s housing stock, which includes anything from individual boilers to complex communal systems. You will carry out inspections and surveys and assist in the resolution of problems. Confidence in using computer systems including MS Office is essential, as is the ability to deal sensitively with residents and their representatives with the highest standard of customer care.

Must have one of the following City & Guilds / NVQ in Gas, Plumbing, or Heating or relevant experience gained within the industry. Along with Formal Training in either Gas / Heating or Plumbing. Must have Current ACS Qualification’s CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, and HTR1. In addition, Unvented Certification G3 Unvented DHWS & Water byelaws, and knowledge of Legionella would be an advantage and/or substantial knowledge of and experience of heating services within housing properties and estates. In the event of emergencies, be prepared to work outside of normal hours.
