An opportunity has arisen to undertake an apprenticeship within the licensing team at Chelmsford City Council.

You will gain hands on licensing experience assisting with the detailed administrative processes required for various licensing functions including licensing premises for alcohol sales and taxi licensing. 

 

The role is an excellent opportunity to acquire practical skills, knowledge and experience supporting licensing officers, getting to understand the regulations and requirements for licensed businesses and dealing with business enquiries. You will have the opportunity to attend committees and support the team in their enforcement work.

 

The successful applicant must have good standards of literacy and numeracy, be able to work as part of a team, adapt to and learn new processes and have excellent communication skills.

This is a fixed term contract during which you will be working towards a Business Administration level 3 apprenticeship.

 

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, normally be based at the Civic Centre but may be required to travel and / or work from other locations as required.
