CLOSING 9TH AUGUST SO NOT LONG TO GO!

CHOOSE YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE

Southend-on-Sea is a place like no other. And what a place to live, work and play. A vibrant, entrepreneurial place, with a burgeoning cultural scene, we are a place of escapism and fun, where the underground meets the mainstream.  Our vision, impact and potential are limitless.  Forget the norm.  Forget expectations.  Forget the beaten path.  Southend is the alternative seaside experience.

As Director of Adult Care Operations, you will be the operational lead for the service, driving practice improvement, enhancing safeguarding and ensuring the financial sustainability of the service.  You will build on our work towards an asset-based approach and improve our reablement offer, improving quality of life for our elderly and vulnerable.

Workforce development will be a key priority.  You will formulate and deliver a new workforce plan to ensure we understand and respond to changing demand, accurately planning for numbers, skills and training.

Integration work at a primary care level will be high on the agenda; you will influence transformation in community, locality and acute settings to ensure Southenders get the best deal from the forthcoming changes.

Working with the Director of Commissioning, you will influence the development of Southend’s care market.  Together with partners and residents, you will modernise our offer to be more person centred and focused on community resilience, to enable our residents in need of care and support to stay at home for longer and access better housing options.

We are looking for a values-based leader with a passion for workforce development and a track record securing improvement in practice and safeguarding in adult care services and operations.  Financially astute, you will bring a good understanding of emerging opportunities and innovation and a strong grasp of how to interpret and predict demand, and its impact on spend.  Working collaboratively with communities and partners will be second nature to you.

Succeed in this role and you will have delivered a step change in performance, modernising and improving services and operations, and supporting our ambition to ensure Southenders enjoy fulfilling lives, throughout their lives.
