About the Role
The Placement Assistant reviews and verifies a large variety of sourcing requests to ensure they are suitable for allocation, arranging non-complex care packages and placements. The role provides a coordinated administrative support service for the Placement Team, accurately maintaining databases and systems.
The ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences is essential in this role.
Some of the other duties include:
- Respond to all incoming requests and queries to allocate work appropriately across the teams. Investigating and responding to a range of complex and non-complex queries, including payment issues.
- Responsible for ensuring referrals are checked and contain the required information included to enable effective sourcing. Support the Placement Team to understand market capacity, maintaining provider suspension information and escalating provider failures / hand backs of care.
- Responsible for processing incoming hospital admission notifications, suspensions, terminations and restarts of care by liaising with external, internal partners, Service Users and their representatives to ensure timely commencement of appropriate services.
- Responsible for processing incoming package change requests, liaising with external and internal partners, Service Users and their representatives, to ensure changes are recorded accurately and promptly on the Mosaic Social Care Management System.
About You
To apply, you'll need to be educated to RQF level 3 (A level) or equivalent by experience.
Experience of working in an administrative environment, knowledge of a Health or Social Care setting is desirable.
Other skills include:
- Experience of using IT packages, including Microsoft Office suite of programmes and a client database system.
- Evidence of team working and understanding different roles.
- Knowledge of requirements of Caldicott, Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation is desirable.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt style to a wide range of audiences.
This role has a rolling rota to cover core working hours - Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:30 and Saturday, 09:00-17:00 - 37 hours per week.
