Are you an experienced Engineer looking for a new challenge? Lincolnshire County Council's Technical Services Partnership (TSP) has a challenging yet rewarding position available for a Senior Engineer.

In LCC's Technical Services Partnership (TSP) we combine public and private sector know-how to provide technical and specialist highway-related engineering expertise. You will have several years' experience in road design, ideally having gained your IEng or CEng. Applications may be considered from non-qualified candidates, but we will expect you to achieve your qualification in an agreed timeframe if you are successful. In any case, we will also expect you to support the professional and personal development of others.

We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and effective individuals, with proven ability in the design and supervision of highway-related works. As public sector (LCC) and its private sector partner (WSP) working together, we combine the best of both worlds. Both organisations are currently recruiting and the successful candidate will be able to choose which they wish to employed by. Although we have specialist teams in other highway disciplines, we are looking for someone with road design experience to be integral to our team. Our projects range from simple footway schemes to the supervision of the Grantham Southern Relief Road.

You will be ready to take on responsibility for technical, professional and personal development of the people in the team. You will be delivering a range of schemes from feasibility through supervision on site, focussing on meeting clients' briefs and ensuring the team's work is delivered within time and budget.

You will work closely with a Principal Engineer, assisting them in leading the team, taking responsibility for delivery of your own schemes and an overview of others. With effective communication skills, you will also demonstrate effective behaviours in the way you work with colleagues and clients. You will have a full driver's licence so you can use our pool cars.

  • Civil service sports council membership
  • Flexible working policies
  • Career progression opportunities
  • An annual leave entitlement of up to 28 days plus the option to buy more

PLEASE NOTE: It is imperative that your covering letter/personal statement clearly states why you have applied, how you meet the essential and desirable criteria for the role as set out in the Job Description (attached on LCC jobs Site) and what you feel you can bring to this role, the team and the wider County Council.

Applications Close on 16/08/2021 and interviews will be held W/C 06/09/2021.
