An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our Children with Disabilities Team. Childrens Occupational Therapy in Telford & Wrekin support disabled children and their families to live at home safely and to enable a child to achieve their full potential by making their environment easier for them, with a variety of therapeutic, equipment and adaptation solutions available.

Responsibilities include equipment provision and review, and recommendations to adapt a property either through Minor Works or by utilising the Disabled Facilities Grant, to improve access in and around the child’s home so they can engage in daily living activities and improve the future outcomes for the child. There is an opportunity to work with a variety of complex health conditions and develop clinical skills.

You must be a qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, can work autonomously as well as someone who can be an active member in the team.

An understanding of child development is required, as is the ability to communicate with and involve a child and their family during their intervention.
