About us

Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As an Inclusive Business Network Manager you will support residents to get into Good Work and ultimately lead good lives.

Good Work Camden

“We want everyone in Camden to lead good lives, and we know that being in good work is a key part of this. We want Camden residents to be in work that makes use of and develops their skills, gives them a sense of purpose and contribution, and pays them a good wage – in order for them to lead the life they want to lead.

We’re therefore investing more in employment support to ensure that residents can access opportunities that enable them to live secure, sustainable, and happy lives.

Through Good Work Camden, we’re designing and delivering Job Hubs that provide accessible and relational employment support, testing innovative approaches to supporting residents, investing in our employment and skills partners and giving businesses the support they need to enhance their own employment practices.

There are a range of opportunities that we're now recruiting to that will make real meaningful impact - it’s an exciting time to join us in our mission to deliver employment support that responds to our labour market challenges and is open to all.”

The role

A major Good Work Camden work stream is the Inclusive Business Network - a programme of activity to influence and support employers in Camden to adopt Good Work practices and implement positive change.

We are seeking an Inclusive Business Network Manager to lead and grow the Inclusive Business Network. Key responsibilities will include: developing and managing strategic relationships with local employers and businesses, working internally with the HR service for our advice offer around good employment practice for businesses in the network and supporting the Inclusive Economy Service to design and deliver key projects around employment, skills and business engagement as part of the Good Work Camden programme.

You will possess up to date knowledge of a broad range of economic development policy, strategy and delivery including business support and development, employment, skills, enterprise and labour market issues along with a practical understanding of the challenges facing employers.

You will be analytical and have strong attention to detail; analysing data and applying a strategic approach. Organised and proactive, you will have demonstrable experience of working creatively and flexibly, responding to business needs – along with the ability to forward plan and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

You’ll be an excellent communicator with strong presentation, diplomacy and influencing skills and the ability to work with associates internally and externally, whilst applying political sensitivity and judgement effectively managing stakeholder relationships.

To succeed, you will have good project development, management, and monitoring skills.

Working for Camden

We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. Help us redefine Good Work across the borough, and we’ll redefine what a career can be. If that sounds good to you, we’d love to talk.
