Job Details

This role will provide support to the Legal Services Housing and Litigation team and is ideal for someone looking to start their career in Legal or for someone with strong administrative experience of using a variety of databases. This post is fixed term to 31 March 2022.

You will be working on tasks such as:

  • Anti-social behaviour and nuisance cases
  • Possession claims in compliance with the Housing Act 1985
  • Queries for rent arrears
  • Defence forms
  • Notice of issue applications
  • Issue and re-issue warrant applications
  • Process stay and adjourned hearings
  • Evictions and withdrawn evictions and possession hearings
  • Introductory Tenancy and Part 55 applications
  • Deceased tenants
  • Permission Applications for warrants

The Legal Services Team work is in a fast paced environment, often working to tight deadlines and therefore you will need to demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly.

One key aspect of the role is proof reading documentation. The successful candidate must be able to show a high aptitude in their ability to proof read.

Ideally you should hold a qualification equal to ECDL, or have proven evidence to demonstrate good IT skills. Experience in using Microsoft Word, bespoke systems and a variety of databases is essential.

Due to the continuing COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a requirement for the post holder to work from home, and therefore you must have an aptitude for remote learning via virtual training and using standard operating procedures.
