Location
Tower Hamlets, London (Greater)
Salary
£94,854 - £109,662

Tower Hamlets is a uniquely vibrant, diverse and contrasting part of the capital – a melting pot of creativity, enterprise and cultural life that brings the best of London together in one place. We have a growing and changing population with all the challenges this brings around poor health, lower life expectancy and safeguarding for the most vulnerable adults alongside the huge opportunities of our young population, residents’ aspirations and a true community spirit that brings people together.

Our Health, Adults and Community Directorate is looking to fill a key role reporting to the Corporate Director. As Director you will manage all operational services for adult social care and be part of an excellent Directorate Leadership Team who are passionate, committed, diverse and fun, together with amazing partners from the NHS, third sector and local people within Tower Hamlets Together – our multi-award winning integrated care partnership. You will provide strategic leadership on adult safeguarding and all aspects of adult social care and support working across the whole Council to ensure a collaborative and joined up approach that enables the best possible outcomes for our residents.

This role will make a real difference, helping to transform how we deliver together and with our communities, to put Tower Hamlets at the leading edge of strengths-based care and support. This is an excellent learning and development offer with great career prospects. We are embracing new ways of working and are preparing for a move to a brand new Town Hall in Whitechapel in the heart of the East End, in 2022.
