The Royal Borough of Greenwich is urgently looking for a suitably experienced applicant to join the Council on a temporary basis as a Senior Community Safety Specialist.

This opportunity, at PO5 grade, is on a 12-month fixed term contract, although a secondment from another local authority or government department may be considered for the same period where supported by the applicant's home organisation at point of application.

The appointed candidate will be expected to lead on, coordinate, or otherwise support others to deliver, a range of community safety related projects and initiatives in support of the Council's Integrated Enforcement approach and several key priorities including Women's Public Safety and modernisation of the borough's CCTV system.

Due to urgency, it is hoped that the selected applicant will be able to start in post by end of October 2021 or before. The Council may be able to assist financially where any current notice period applicable exceeds this time frame. Priority may be given to appointable candidates who are able to start by or before this date.
