Job Details

The City of York Council's corporate Business Support Services is offering an opportunity to join the team, providing support to the Mental Health team within the Authority.

You will support the team with the co-ordination of various processes and statutory systems which relate to the Metal Health Act. 

Recording electronic assessments and all relevant documents.

Arranging meetings and commissioning placements.

Dealing with homes and other professionals by phone and e-mail updating and maintaining relevant spreadsheets and rotas.

Ensuring residents payments are maintained and collating the information in terms of the impact on Adult Social Care budgets. 

Supporting the Mental Health Social Worker with care management tasks in a timely manner.

You will be dealing with and have access to highly sensitive and confidential information.

It is essential that you have effective, tactful and diplomatic interpersonal and communications skills.

A high degree of computer literacy and experience of working with information technology in an office based environment is essential.

You will be required to undertake a wide range of routine technical administration. Assist in the management and presentation of information and the maintaining computerised records.

The ability to work effectively and flexibly within a team as well as on your own initiative is essential to meet conflicting demands.

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, including good time and task management
