Deputy Communications and Engagement Manager

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is launching an ambitious five-year plan to tackle the housing crisis. We're collaborating with residents to develop our strategy to address housing affordability, insecurity and need.

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to lead on communications and engagement across our housing services. You will take an overview of the directorate’s communications needs and work with communications officers to deliver excellent campaigns.

You’ll have experience of developing campaigns, engaging diverse audiences and using a range of communications channels. You’ll proactively look for ways to improve our services and deliver innovative solutions. And you’ll be comfortable building relationships with teams and individuals at all levels of the council.

We offer a work environment which is stimulating, fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high-profile organisation.

From the world-famous sights of Greenwich town centre in the west to Thamesmead in the east and from Greenwich Peninsula in the north to Eltham in the south, our communities are diverse. We want our workforce to reflect and respect this diversity and bring richness, productivity and innovation.

We are based in Woolwich, but the job will involve a mix of office, home and off-site working.

If you’re ready to be part of our exciting journey, please apply now, or contact us to discuss the job.
