An Excellent Opportunity....
Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
In 2018 the Council embarked upon one of the most ambitious Council Homes building programmes in the country with a view to delivering over 1000 new affordable homes by 2024.
At the forefront of our proposals was the intention to develop an engagement process that went well beyond the statutory requirements of the planning process. As part of our growing development programme we wish to recruit to this new post with a view to developing a wider team of staff working with council members, residents, consultants and other stakeholders.
Ideally the successful applicant with have at least 5 years experience working in a stakeholder driven environment. This could have been gained working on regeneration , new build or improvement projects for a Local Authority, Housing Association or other public body.
Experience of managing a team of Engagement Officers would be an advantage however we will consider individuals embarking upon the next stage in their career.
