Our asset management strategy provides the basis for the Council’s planned maintenance and delivery spend. The goal is to keep our housing stock in good condition, so it complies with Health & Safety regulations. You’ll be leading the Asset Management team responsible for maintaining our housing stock and building relationships with stakeholders such as Property Services. You will also lead the Council’s corporate property portfolio and supply elected members and senior leaders with information. You’ll maintain Health & Safety compliance data and our asset register. 

To drive best practice you’ll need specialist knowledge of this sector. You should have experience in Housing, within the field of planned maintenance and asset management. In the past, you’ll have worked on planned works and large-scale projects, handling large budgets and leading multi-disciplinary teams. Now you’re ready to put your leadership skills and financial acumen to a brand-new test. Organised, articulate and a ‘can do’ approach, you’ll know all about stock asset registers, asset management strategies and Health & Safety reporting.

Role Responsibilities:

This role will work closely with the AD Operations to plan and deliver an asset management strategy for H&F property portfolio, owned by both the general fund and housing revenue account. 

In housing the role will provide the basis for the Council’s planned maintenance and capital delivery spend. This will ensure current asset to the required minimum standard as set out by the government required standard and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

The Asset Management and Compliance Data will develop and maintain expert relationships across a range of Health and Safety areas to proactively engage their support both in preventative work and developing a long-term investment approach. The role will develop relationships with peers across London and nationally to ensure that the approach is joined up and consistent. They will work closely with the Assistant Director in providing information to elected members, audit committee and senior organisational leaders regarding asset management and Health and Safety Compliance data.
