BCP Council Has Big Plans

Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) is the UK’s newest city region, and it is brimming with prospects, positivity, and pride. It is a place where culture and heritage meet innovation and modernity, where people thrive and businesses flourish.

We have a Big Plan that sets out the ambition for our communities and our place, and how we will deliver on our aim to make the BCP area one where people want to be.

Central to that big plan is a commitment to the BCP city region becoming one of the best places in which children can live, learn, and grow up; with opportunities to stay in the area after they leave school, whether to go to university, to train or to work. This means supporting the health, wellbeing, and development of children from birth, though their early years, right through their education and into adulthood. Having asked children and young people what makes them happy enables us to create an environment where happiness is not only possible but can flourish.

We are looking for the next Corporate Director of Children’s Services who will help us to drive forward these plans and establish BCP council as a leading authority for innovation and excellence, whilst nurturing our children and their families.
