Housing Digital Programme Manager

Royal Borough of Greenwich is beginning a period of large-scale digital transformation. We have an ambition to create brilliant, modern services for our residents; to give our staff the best tools to do their job; to be data-driven; to use modern platforms and infrastructure; and to build a significant digital team to increase our digital capability.

We are embarking on a three-year Housing Digital Programme, with a wealth of large and exciting projects to deliver transformational improvements to our Housing services. This role will suit someone with a background in Housing project and programme management, and who is passionate about improving our services, and delivering challenging projects within an agile environment, to timescale, and within agreed budgets and scope. 

The Role

The key functions of this important role will be:

-        planning and delivering our Housing Digital Programme;

-        recruiting and managing our 27-strong Programme team;

-        managing stakeholders, suppliers and partners;

-        using your creativity and judgement;

-        translating user needs into project deliverables;

-        managing programme budgets, deliverables, risks, issues and business cases.

The successful candidate will:

-        be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage change;

-        be an accomplished programme manager;

-        have a deep understanding of the services provided by a local authority housing department;

-        have a sound knowledge of Housing business systems and the technology required to improve how we work, and the services we offer our customers;

-        have a strong awareness of Local Authority processes, and an ability to navigate these processes successfully.

This is the central role in our digital transformation for Housing at Greenwich, driving change and improvement, and reporting directly to Dewbien Plummer, our Head of Strategy & Improvement, you will be a key member of our management team.
