About Us:

Bringing key aspects of resident safety and compliance together in one critical role.

Following the Grenfell tragedy we have brought our social housing stock back under local authority control. We are committed to ensuring rigorous compliance regarding resident safety matters and building regulations, whilst also ensuring we are prioritising the needs of our residents.

The Role:

Heading up a small professional team, you’ll deliver an efficient and cost-effective compliance and planned maintenance service for residents of council-owned housing. This means procuring, managing and directing a number of compliance  contractors to ensure they meet our targets on time and budget. Governance and the promotion of best practice are a key part of the role. Customer engagement  is also extremely important: you’ll listen and respond to the needs of residents and ensure any inconvenience to them is minimised.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

Your success depends on a mixture of technical and people skills. You’ll bring experience of ensuring compliance standards for housing are met at a management level, preferably gained in a  social housing organisation. Be capable of analysing and reporting on complex information, to ensure you are ready and able to advise senior managers and residents. A strong track-record of coaching and motivating teams to improve performance is also essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, ready to engage with residents, colleagues and contractors, keeping them up to date with progress and dealing with any issues.
