Job Details

City of York Council’s Democratic Services department is seeking to recruit a Webcasting and Video Production Officer to join the team.

About the role;

This is a fast developing and dynamic role working with the Webcasting Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of the live streaming of the council’s public meetings and the production of videos to inform residents and to support council initiatives.

Key skills and Experience;

Successful candidates need to;

  • demonstrate an up-to-date practical knowledge of live streaming, video conferencing platforms and software (YouTube / Facebook Live, Wirecast, Open Broadcaster Studio, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and video production software (Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects)
  • have experience in using professional video cameras, sound recording and lighting equipment to a high professional standard
  • have experienced in updating websites using content management systems and have a basic knowledge of HTML
  • have imagination, flexability and be expected to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the fields of live streaming and video production
