The Lead Practitioner role within the Primary Care Mental Health Network (PCMHN) in Camden is a dynamic role which is part of a large network of professionals in an integrated Mental Health setting provided in joint partnership and collaboration between Camden Council and Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust. As we move to a neighbourhood community mental health based delivery model in Camden, you will bring a strong ‘Social Work’ voice to and have the opportunity to be a part of the work done to develop primary care within the larger community neighbourhood setting.
You will support the daily functions of the service including direct line management and supervision of up to 5 Social Workers.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

This role requires you to be a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 8 years post – qualifying experience. You must be registered with Social Work England. Also, to be successful in this role, you must be willing to show a commitment to undertake Post Qualifying Courses when relevant, including the Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) course.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to work in primary care and is dedicated to improve the well-being of people and their carers. Extensive knowledge of the legislative framework relating to Adults and the Care Act 2014 as well as the Mental Health Act is essential in this role. Although previous people management experience is not required, it is beneficial for this role.
