This is Street Works Coordination as an Assistant Street Works and Permitting Officer

About the Role

We are currently looking for an individual who can ensure the efficient use of the Lincolnshire Highway Network by coordinating, inspecting and enforcing works on the highway.

The role involves

  • Administrative support to Streetworks officers in the team.
  • Data entry of information into our IT systems.
  • Assisting with the coordination of highway works under the Lincolnshire Permit Scheme.
  • Inspection of highway construction sites to ensure compliance with NRSWA legislation and the Permit Scheme.
  • Customer liaison with our internal engineering teams and external utilities.

This is a full time, entry level position in the Streetworks and Permitting Team within the Highways department and training will be given to accomplish all tasks required by the role.

You will have a qualification equivalent to either an ONC or A levels.  However candidates with relevant experience, a professional work ethic and good interpersonal skills will also be considered. Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office and the use of other Information Technology is essential.

Remote Working

At the current time during the Coronavirus restrictions,  all our employees are working from home if they are able to do so to support the health and safety of all of our colleagues.  We are embracing new ways of working and we are anticipating that remote working will continue to be a key feature of this role. You will be  given a nominated contractual work base and once current restrictions are lifted you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
