Working in partnership with our community to deliver responsive, effective and efficient services, we are committed to working creatively and innovatively to better support our population. As such, we deliver the highest levels of support to residents of all ages, seeing to it that we are capable of meeting their needs, whatever they may be.

Our tri-borough Fraud, Audit, Insurance and Risk team are at the heart of this ambition. Join them, and you’ll play a central role in their work.

The Role:

This is a varied, wide-ranging role in a team that deals with all sorts of claims. From housing stock and tree roots subsidence to trips and slips and employee liability claims. Your focus on liability investigations will involve site meetings and case management of personal injury claims in accordance with the Ministry of Justice Civil Procedures Rules to deliver effective and efficient financial outcomes. This will cover areas including determination of legal liability, assessment of damages and negotiating with third party legal representatives via the MOJ claims portal.

Evidence gathering to support effective claims handling and enable compliance with the disclosure requirements of the Civil Procedure Rules and any other Ministry of Justice guidelines will also be key.

Please refer to the Job Description form more information

About You:

As well as a background in handling liability and property insurance claims, you’ll bring a good working knowledge of Civil Procedure rules and pre-action protocols and the Judicial College guidelines for assessing general damages in personal injury. The ability to work with internal guidelines, quickly and accurately under pressure and priorities to deadline is essential. We’ll also be looking for sound negotiation and investigation skills.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
