About the Team
You will join a team of 3 experienced Street Lighting Maintenance Officers who provide specialist knowledge and results in the operational maintenance of street lighting assets across the whole of Lincolnshire.
The Maintenance Team sits within a larger Lighting, Signs and CAD Team who are a supportive team of 16 with a wealth of experience and pride between them. The Maintenance Team also sits alongside other specialist engineering teams within the County's Technical Services Partnership (TSP), which includes Road Design, Drainage and Structures; there are about 80 staff in total - we just love to share our knowledge and experience with others!
About the Role
You will contribute towards the excellent work carried out by the team that reactively ensures street lighting assets are working well. The team strive to keep customer complaints to a minimum by liaising throughout the timeframe of an enquiry to resolve it efficiently. There is an asset inventory which is used to accurately record energy consumption - you will contribute towards the maintenance of the inventory which in turn is used to forecast energy costs.
You will interact with Colleagues, Clients, the Public, and the Contractor to deliver maintenance projects within agreed timeframes. You will assist to resolve faults that the Contractor has been unable to easily resolve. We provide a range of street lighting services where we provide the customer with a quotation for works; such as moving columns due to home improvements and driveway widening.
You will ideally have experience and skills in office based Street Lighting Maintenance practices, including an understanding of asset management and inventories. You should be familiar with prevailing standards and have experience of carrying out inspections and responding to customers.
As this is a Career Grade Opportunity we would welcome applications from candidates at any level of their career from; just starting out/entry level (@Grade 3 £18,812 - £19,948), up to Technician level (@Grade 5 £21,153 - £23,791).
Should you come on board at the lower level then TSP will support your development to progress within your career post up to the top of the G5 pay grade (£23,791) and beyond.
