About the role

As Head of Performance & Analysis you will be head of profession for performance and analysis in Devon & Cornwall Police, leading a multi-disciplinary team of specialists to support operational policing and organisational development.

You will set organisational and operational priorities, focus activity against them and ensure continuous improvement across the organisation. 

You will develop and provide specialist products, advice, and decisions across a wide range of areas including performance management and analysis, consultation, inspection, crime audit, planning and risk management.

Succeed in this role and you will have provided the platform of performance, insight and intelligence that powers our transformation and underpins our drive for improvement.  At the same time you will have worked closely with senior officers and staff to develop approaches that ensure our performance continues to improve and places us at the forefront of policing excellence.

About you

This is a position for a performance management expert with a track record of delivery and improvement in a complex public sector setting.  You will demonstrate the independence and resilience to challenge accepted practice, recommend innovative solutions and secure their implementation.  Your highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills will be critical in building trust with senior officers and staff while your positive mindset and strong orientation to delivering solutions will ensure you quickly build a reputation as someone who gets things done.
