About Haringey Council

Haringey is an exciting, diverse borough with a broad range of placemaking projects underway or committed. It is a borough which alongside substantial challenges also faces significant challenges in common with many London Boroughs. Our work seeks to secure investment in our places, to contribute to addressing our shared housing challenges, and above all to secure benefits from investment for our communities, residents and businesses.

Regeneration in Haringey is focussed on two broad areas, Tottenham and Wood Green. Tottenham is seeing the benefit of a £1bn+ public and private investment programme that is already transforming the area.

About the Role

This post is an opportunity to be involved in an exciting and complex regeneration programme and play a key role in the further development and delivery of the aspiration for north Tottenham.

The Regeneration Project Officer will be working to the Regeneration Manager to support the implementation, project management and successful delivery of the High Road West scheme. Focused in the North Tottenham area, the project will deliver much needed new homes including 500 Council homes, new jobs and shops, community buildings and better open spaces. Alongside the physical regeneration of the area, £10m of funding will be available for social and economic programmes for the community.

The council is therefore seeking a talented, ambitious and motivated regeneration professional to progress some of this work. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of projects and will allow the right person to grow and develop as part of a supportive and high-functioning team.

About You

You will have practical experience of developing and managing a range of regeneration projects, with a track record of forging partnerships and engaging communities to deliver area-wide regeneration.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in an appropriate field – planning, housing or development. You will have proven project management experience from scoping to delivery, and experience of managing a project team, including commissioning work from consultants or external parties.

You will have the confidence and proven ability to drive forward complex projects, and will be regularly liaising with senior managers, elected members and a wide range of stakeholders.
