Children's Occupational Therapist - Disabled Children Family Support Service

Opportunity for Children's Occupational Therapist (PO3/PO4) Full-Time

We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the Royal Borough of Greenwich Disabled Children and Family Support Service. We are a friendly and dynamic place to work, co-located within a multidisciplinary service including Social Workers, OTs and a Short Break Service. We work closely with our colleagues in Education and Health. We provide comfortable working spaces with flexible working arrangements and excellent transport links including Woolwich Arsenal Station and DLR. Nearby/off-street parking is also available.

We are looking for an autonomous and highly motivated practitioner who wants to influence practice and develop our service.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for working with children and young people, supporting their inclusion in all aspects of their lives.
  • The ability to undertake comprehensive functional assessments / interventions, major adaptations and moving & handling assessments in planning and delivering Occupational Therapy services.
  • Be knowledgeable / have experience of relevant legislation with a proven ability to work with vulnerable children / adults in a social care setting.
  • Experience of involvement in multi-agency / partnership / consultative working and of carrying out lone assessments in client's homes, care management and safeguarding duties, including risk assessments.
  • A passion for Research and Development.
