If the answer is yes, you could be part of our expanding dedicated and supportive team of like-minded professionals who help residents in York, Harrogate, Selby and Craven insulate their homes and fit renewable technologies to heat their home.

This role will help to deliver an energy efficiency programme which has already attracted £2.5m for the residents in the 4 areas.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with specialist knowledge in domestic energy efficiency retrofit who can demonstrate a proven track record of programme and project management.

The successful  candidate will be:

  • educated to degree level
  • have a broad knowledge of current issues and legislation relating to energy efficiency and carbon reduction,
  • have demonstrable experience of working in the field related to retrofitting of energy efficiency measures,
  • have experience of managing contracts and working in partnership,
  • have experience in making funding bids

If you do not have a degree / energy assessor qualification, but have the required skills and experience from a relevant professional background (e.g. construction) we would still welcome your application.

Relocation expenses are available for the successful candidate to support a move to York.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express him/herself spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.

This is a fixed term post until 30 June 2023.
