This is a great opportunity for you to join Lincolnshire County Council's Technical Services Partnership as a Roads Technician on a Career Grade Opportunity. You can be part of a great group of professionals making your mark in the present and future of Lincolnshire's roads.
About the role
Technical Services Partnership Roads' teams provide technical input to a variety of Clients' projects, both internal and external. From the design of new junctions, new bypasses, new pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, to improvements to the existing network, such as resurfacing schemes for the Primary Road Network. You may also be involved in the design and check of development proposals.
You will be involved in the different stages of a project, including concept development, feasibility, design and supervision of the works on site. You will have the opportunity to manage your own projects, working closely with other team members and specialisms, external partners and Clients.
There are opportunities to develop your knowledge and competence and to grow both personally and professionally. Our Career Grade scheme gives you a path to progress through, dependent on your achievements.
About the Team
We are looking for people to join one of our three Roads teams, made up of around 30 friendly and enthusiastic professionals. The County's Technical Services Partnership combines public sector ethos and private sector know-how to provide professional engineering expertise.

We can and will support you in achieving both academic and professional qualifications, and we will also make sure you feel integrated and part of the family!
Are you a natural problem-solver? Do you have an interest in designing and improving roads? If so, we have a role for you.
You could be a school leaver or have some experience - it doesn't matter which, as long as you fit with the team, and are willing to develop and will work effectively for Lincolnshire.
We excel at 'growing our own' and we will support you through academic development through day release / apprenticeship learning at college or university, in parallel with working towards Eng Tech, Incorporated or Chartered status with relevant engineering institutions.
