We are looking to appoint highly motivated Social Worker to join the Haringey Mental Health services as Senior Practitioner.  The roles will work alongside multi-agency community teams to deliver high quality integrated health and social care support to residents and to support social workers to develop their professional practice and their career development.

About the Role:

As Senior Practitioner, you will provide social work leadership, expert advice, guidance, and practice on complex health, social care, legal processes and ensure residence receive the support they require in the community by connecting them with community resources.

Your responsibilities will involve interacting with professionals across health and social care teams to ensure that residents have access to a high quality of care and support.

This will involve liaising with Locality Mental Health teams, the Haringey Learning Disability Partnership and wider Council services, for example, Reablement, Housing, Community Safety, Brokerage and Legal services. 

As a senior practitioner you will also assist the team managers and Head of Service to ensure that social workers are supported in their practice and offer a reflective space and professional supervision.

You will also be a lead and expected to be confident and proficient in accessing and using Council resources and systems including MOSAIC, Hari-NET, Community Connectors and systems that support social workers learning and development in Haringey as well as other national professional development networks.

Working in one of North London’s most culturally diverse and liveliest boroughs, you will seek to maintain a strong partnership between Barnet, Haringey and Enfield Mental Health NHS Trust.

About You:

You are required to be a qualified and experienced Social Worker looking to use or develop your experience in a leadership role within a multi- agency setting and have a sound knowledge of legislation that underpins health and social care for service-users with mental health needs. You will have a confident approach to a range of health and social care records, processes and systems.

For the AMHP Service Role you will need to be an experienced and practicing AMHP with at least Three years post qualifying experience.
