We are now looking to appoint one highly motivated and experienced social work Team Managers with the skills and knowledge in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism who enjoy working within multi-agency community teams to ensure we deliver the very highest of quality integrated health and social care support to our residents, and have a passion for learning and enhancing their professional practice and career opportunities.

About the Role

As an experienced Team Manager, you will be a member of a highly motivated and dynamic social work management team, supervising a team of social workers, providing advice and guidance to service users, families and carers, and overseeing needs, Mental Capacity and Carers’ assessments, support planning and reviews. You’ll have the opportunity to work through complex health, social care and legal processes and ensure that people are supported safely in the community and / or signposted / connected with community resources who will continue to support them.

You will have lead responsibilities for complex cases, reviews, safeguarding, DoLS which will involve interacting with service leads and professionals across health and social care teams in order to ensure that all residents have the highest quality of care and support at all times. This will also involve liaising with the CCG, Primary Care teams, wider multi-disciplinary professionals, Community Mental Health teams, and wider Council services, for example, Reablement, Housing, Community Safety, Brokerage, or Legal services. 

You will have significant experience of leading, developing and supervising social work teams to ensure that assessments and support planning reflect integrated health and social care and founded on a recovery model / strengths-based approach.

As an experienced manager, you will have an opportunity to take a lead key areas of developments such as Reviews, promotion of Direct Payments and Assistive Technologies, and engage with the rest of the team to share a reflective space and professional supervision.

You will also be confident accessing and using Council resources and systems including MOSAIC, Hari-NET, Community Connectors, and systems that support social workers learning and development in Haringey as well as other national professional development networks such as SCIE, RiPFA and others.

Working in one of London’s liveliest and most culturally diverse boroughs, you will seek to maintain a strong partnership between London Borough of Haringey and Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust and build up a strong network of professional support.

About You

You will be a qualified Social Worker with previous experience of social work management within a multi-disciplinary team and have a sound knowledge of legislation that underpins health and social care for service-users with learning disability and some with autism and mental health needs. You will have a confident approach to a range of health and social care records, processes and systems.
