The Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) is an independent charity established in 2013 to champion and support the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes. As a member of the government’s What Works Network, we have a pivotal role as the go-to source for evidence and advice on early intervention for children and young people. Our work spans social policy and service areas including health, education, families and policing.
Our expert team of researchers and advisers who have the practical experience of local delivery, put us in a unique position to support local services to use local information and national research to provide services that really improve outcomes for families.
We are now expanding our local development team and are looking for two highly motivated people to join us. Working closely with local leaders and commissioners across the country, our local development advisers support local areas to use evidence and local information to develop and improve early intervention strategy and delivery.
We are looking for people who understand the local public service context and have experience of strategy development in child and family services, as well an understanding of national policy, local public sector strategy and delivery relating to early intervention. The right people will have strong stakeholder management skills and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with local public services, government departments, sector bodies and national charities.
To be successful, you will be a confident communicator, and have a strong appreciation of how evidence (local information and research) can support local decision-making, service delivery and its impact. Above all, you will be passionate and committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families, be flexible, and a strong team-player who is also able to work independently.
In return, you will join a supportive team, have support to develop and broaden your skills and experience, and gain valuable opportunities to engage with central government and inform key policy decisions.
Permanent contract or secondment opportunity (minimum 12 months)
Full time: 35 hours (net); flexible working, including part time, home working possible
