Oldham Council is seeking two outstanding people for the newly created posts of Deputy Chief Executive – one to lead on a range of activities relating to place shaping, economic growth, infrastructure and the environment and the other to lead on services where we need a more intent and targeted offer for social care, education, neighbourhoods and community cohesion. Reporting to the Chief Executive these are vital roles with strategic responsibility for shaping and setting the direction of travel for our core services that are part of everyday life for our residents.
Oldham is a place full of opportunities and challenges and we have an exemplary track record of embracing innovation. We are seeking to appoint to these two transformational posts as part of our reshaping of the senior team. We are looking for compelling leaders for both these roles. We are keen to hear from people with a proven track record of delivering large scale change at a senior level in large complex organisations in areas that are relevant to these roles. Equally important to us is your style of leadership, we are looking for people who role model best practice and innovation, who will inspire and encourage our committed and dedicated workforce whilst delivering the best possible outcomes for our residents.
We are searching for exceptional individuals who might just be “the difference to make a difference” as we build back from the pandemic in a way that meets short, medium and long term needs to create a borough that thrives on being diverse and inclusive in all aspects.
